This morning, our first gentleman, Dan Mulhearn (http://twitter.com/danmulhern), said "scarcity + vocal anger=waves of panic and I appreciate him saying it out loud. Healthcare reform is not a new problem…it’s just a problem we can no longer ignore because of other situations that have surfaced.

We do have everything we need to solve this and other urgent problems if we shift our mindset to one of abundance. I am not diminishing the fact that many are out of work, don’t have health care, or have loss their homes. I’m just saying to keep repeating and focusing ONLY on this does nothing to solve it, it's only creating a downward spiral of fear. I'm sure we're all familiar with the acronym for fear: False Expectations Appearing Real. We are a very resilient country…look at our past…what makes us believe that we can’t solve this?

To paraphrase Einstein, a problem cannot be solved by the same mind that created it! As leaders we can create an environment that supports thinking differently, that builds resilency, that warrants innovation. I want to be a part of a community that resolves our problems, finds solutions, and builds a stronger community while we do it. I believe COLLECTIVELY we can make this happen!
